Cuba Grants Scholarship to Young Mongolian to Study Medicine

Ulan Bator, Jun 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba granted today a free annual scholarship to study medicine for the best graduate of Mongolia’s public school Marti.

Cuban ambassador in Ulan Bator, Raul Delgado Concepcion granted the certificate to acknowledge that condition to youngster Badamsed Burenjargal after passing her corresponding examinations.

Burenjargal will travel to Cuba along with two other students selected by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport in Mongolia as part of the collaboration that the Caribbean island offers every year in the field of training human resources in this Asian country.

The José Martí public school, named in honor of the apostle of Cuban independence, teaches classes from the first to 12th grade and prepares students to continue their studies in higher education.

Cuba and Mongolia have had diplomatic relations for 55 years.

In 1960 the Antillean country was the first in Latin America and the Caribbean to establish bilateral ties with this nation.
