NEW BRITAIN — Miguel Fraga, secretary of the newly-reestablished Cuban Embassy in Washington, D.C., will visit Central Connecticut State University on Oct. 18 and 19.
Fraga will meet with the University’s leadership, faculty, and students and will visit several classes, before taking part in a panel discussion open to the public.
On Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. in Memorial Hall’s Constitution Room, Fraga will talk about Cuban-U.S. relations, and the U.S. presidential campaign and election.
Antonio Garcia-Lozada, professor of Modern Languages, will serve as moderator of the discussion.
Three CCSU faculty members will join Fraga on the panel:
Cindy Pope, professor of Geography who conducts research in Cuba, Paul Petterson, professor of Political Science, and Vivian Martin, professor of Journalism who recently traveled to Cuba with her students.
