Cuba, Dominican Republic ratify ties of friendship and cooperation

Havana, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuba’s President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader ratified on Friday the historic ties of friendship that unite the two countries.

On his Twitter account, Diaz-Canel informed that, in a telephone conversation with his counterpart from the neighboring country, they reaffirmed their shared will to cooperate in the areas of health, science and innovation.

Cuba and the Dominican Republic resumed relations on April 16, 1998, after the visit of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
