United Nations, Aug 14.- Cuba requested UN Chief Ban Ki-moon the release, as official UN documents, of denunciations about new US subversive actions against the Island, diplomatic sources reported today.According to a press release of the Cuban Permanent Mission to the UN, the request includes a statement by Director of United States Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Josefina Vidal, and a special communique by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP.)
Recently, US media outlets revealed another plan funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to promote destabilization in Cuba.
The program entailed the use of Latin American youngsters recruited since 2009 to incite Cuban youth sectors to act against constitutional order.
In their statements, Vidal and ALBA-TCP expressed rejection of US hostility and demanded the cessation of pro-intervention and subversive actions against Cuba, subject to economic, commercial and financial blockade for over half a century.
In the request to the UN chief, the Cuban Permanent Mission said that US authorities have acknowledged the implementation of the said destabilization plan, a new attempt to create conditions leading to break the political, economic and social order chosen by the Cuban people.
Three months ago, Cuba denounced at the UN the use of the subversive program Zun Zuneo, another USAID initiative also revealed by Us media.
Through a cell phone messaging service, that social network, active until 2012, included Cuban users’ profiles by sex, age, preferences and affiliation.(Prensa Latina).
