Cuba: Artists from 12 Countries to Participate in Festival of Arts

Havana, May 24 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Higher Institute of Arts (ISA) will host a festival from May 24th to June 4th with the participation of artists from 12 countries, said today organizers.

Artists from Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, United States, Colombia, Panama, Argentina, Costa Rica, Germany, Uruguay, Chile and Cuba will offer dance, music and theater performances, as well of screening of films and exhibitions of plastic arts.

General artistic director of this 8th festival Michel Cruz said that the festival is seeking also to promote the works made by young artists graduated from ISA, the so-called University of Arts in Cuba.

He said in a press conference that the event will boost 106 projects of all artistic expressions and institutions throughout the country, including high schools of music and dance.

The performances will take place at the Cultural Center Bertolt Brecht, the College San Geronimo de La Habana, the House of the New Latin American Film Festival, the Cuban Art Factory, the art gallery Los Oficios, the cultural center Pabellon Cuba, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Oratorio San Felipe Neri hall.
