Havana, Mar 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuba and Vietnam on Tuesday reviewed their common agenda and ratified their willingness to promote high-level talks during the 5th round of Political Consultations between Foreign Ministries, held virtually.
Cuban First Deputy Foreign Minister Marcelino Medina and his Vietnamese counterpart, Bui Thanh Son, presided over the meeting, which favored boosting fraternity and cooperation in several fields, including the fight against Covid-19.
Among other topics, they highlighted the celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2020, as well as the fact that Vietnam has become Asia’s major investor in Cuba.
They also acknowledged Vietnam’s significant role in projects related to food security in Cuba, according to a press release from The Cuban Foreign Ministry.
The two officials also debated topics of the common multilateral and regional agendas.
