Cuba and the United States Hold Talks on Common-Interest Issues

Havana, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuban and US representatives held a talk about human trafficking, smuggling of goods and cybersecurity in Washington, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported today.

According to the institution, both delegations agreed on the importance of making progress in the cooperation in this area and the need to sign bilateral instruments, and agreed to continue holding these kind of technical meetings in the future.

The talk was held in the framework of the negotiation about implementation and compliance with the law, started between Cuba and the United States in November, 2015.

The Cuban delegation was composed of representatives for the ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, Transportation and the General Customs of the Repic of Cuba.

On the US side, the participants were officials of the department of Home Security, Justice and State.
