Cuba and Mexico Analyzed Migratory Flow

Havana, May 4 (Prensa Latina) The 12th Meeting on Migratory and Consular Affairs between Cuba and Mexico analyzed here the performance of the migratory flow between both countries, including the illicit migration associated with this issue.

During the meeting held this Friday, in a frank, cordial and respectful climate, the parties debated the status of implementation of the current Migration Memorandum.

The adequate framework for the achievement of a legal, safe and orderly migration between the two nations, as well as the fight against human trafficking and the illegal trafficking of migrants, also stood out among the topics analyzed.

It also reaffirmed the commitment of Cuba and Mexico to continue working together to strengthen cooperation in the migratory and consular field, and to make more effective the confrontation of irregular emigration.

Chaired by the Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ana Teresita González and the Under Secretary for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Maximiliano Reyes, the meeting ratified the importance of this type of meetings in order to continue strengthening bilateral relations .
