Havana, Nov 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuba advocates for the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula, assured Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla when he received his counterpart from the Democratic People”s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Yong Ho Wednesday.
Rodriguez reiterated that only through the dialogue and negotiations, a peaceful solution will come out to end the conflict in the Korean Peninsula.
The Cuban Foreign Minister expressed the strong rejection of the Cuban government and people to the arbitrary measures and certifications established by the United States.
‘We reiterate our demand for the respect to the sovereignty and independence of the two nations in the Korean Peninsula, their free determination, not to use the force, and not to threaten,’ said the Cuban Foreign Minister.
Rodriguez also adcocated for a peaceful solution , the right to establish a Korean proper political, economic, social and cultural model, and not to interfere in the domestic affairs of the Peninsula.
He said that the relations between Havana and Pyongyang are satisfactory and are based on the traditional principles of friendship established by the historical leaders Fidel Castro and Kim Il-Sung.
The relations between between Cuba and the DPRK are developed between our peoples, parties and governments, the Cuban Foreign Minister stated.
In turn, Ri Yong Ho, who came to the Caribbean island Tuesday, stated that both countries ‘are constructing the socialism under the pressure and cruel blockade of the imperialists’.
The situation in the Korean Peninsula is worsening and is tense, because of the increase of the use of military forces of the imperialists, stated the Asian diplomat.
The DPRK ratified the invariable character of its position as long as the hostile politics and the anti-Korean blackmail persist , and discarded the possibility of dialogue under the above mentioned conditions.
That is why the authorities of the Asian country carry out frequent tests in its nuclear armament program, with the idea to verify the national defense against possible attacks.
