Havana, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) The 16th Pan-American Nursing Research Colloquium is focusing on Wednesday on the provision of services in Latin American and Caribbean communities with participation of representatives of 21 countries at Havana’s Conference Center.
Community work as a tool for professional training and the diagnosis of anemia in Peruvian children under five years of age stand out among the issues the delegates and national and foreign guests will discuss.
Other topics, such as the quality of life in women in the climacteric stage, factors that influence the care of the elderly and the policies to promote public health research, are also on the agenda.
The event has become a favorable framework to discuss the effectiveness of night rounds in nursing, and nursing care model to assist patients with traumas and orthopedic afflictions.
The largest delegations attending the Colloquium, to be run until Friday, came from Brazil and Mexico, the president of the organizing committee, Idalmis Infante, told reporters.
