Beijing, Nov 13 (Prensa Latina) Companies from China and Cuba have paved the way to market the island’s coffee, honey and charcoal, after some letters of intent on the subject were signed, an official source said on Friday.
Coratur S.A. representative Aner Perez told Prensa Latina that the documents envisage the possibility to export these items to this market through Cubaexport.
Two of the letters of intent were signed in Shanghai during a recent exhibition of Cuban goods and services. One was signed with China National Huayen Energy to sell brands of Cuban coffee such as Serrano and Turquino, and Apisun’s honey; and another letter, with IDON International Trading Co., would be to introduce green and roasted coffee.
A third letter was signed a little earlier with Xiamen Carisol Trading Co. and aims to include first and second quality charcoal, in addition to small pieces of charcoal, Perez said.
Perez highlighted the importance of those memoranda because it shows local companies’ interest to expand business prospects with these exportable items.
