Caracas, Mar 15 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro recalled the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chavez, as a latent inspiration for all revolutionaries.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the massive popular mobilization that accompanied the remains of the president (1999-2013) to the Cuartel de la Montaña for his final rest, Maduro ratified the validity of his legacy in a message posted on Twitter.
‘Six years ago, together with the Venezuelan people, we took Caracas streets, in a love caravan to accompany our Eternal Commander to his final resting place. His immortal flare is still an inspiration to all revolutionaries. Chavez is alive. Long Live Chavez!’,wrote the Venezuelan Head of State.
Since March 15, 2013, the remains of the revolutionary leader remain in the Cuartel de la Montaña, in west of Caracas, an adequate space to function as a mausoleum and museum to exhibit objects related to the life of the founder of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
The movement was 10 days after his death to the Parish bastion on January 23, a place from where he led the February 4, 1992 military actions.
The funeral trajectory was followed by thousands of people, who stood on both sides of the road to express their last goodbye to Chavez, who died as a result of health complications in the midst of a battle against cancer.
