Santa Clara, Dec 1 (Prensa Latina) The caravan that carries the ashes of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, resumed its march today to Santiago de Cuba from this central city.
After stopping one night in the same place where the remains of the Heroic Guerrilla, Ernesto Ché Guevara, rest, the funeral procession continued this morning its passage towards the Cuban east following the inverse path maintained by the Rebel Army after its triumph in 1959.
The caravan went to the places that the Commander-in-Chief visited in the City of Che, such as the Martí Park and the library there, where the people came to pay tribute to the leader who, on January 6, 1959, entered the city triumphantly.
The route to follow also includes the municipality of Placetas, in the province Villa Clara, and the cities of Cabaiguán and Sancti Spíritus, in the province of the same name, according to official sources.
The funeral honors in Santa Clara were carried out by young people who throughout the night paid homage to Fidel Castro near the rests of the Heroic Guerrilla and his companions of fight, in the Sculpture Complex Ernesto Guevara.
