Cabbages in Cuba Deserve to Be in Guinness Book of World Records

Matanzas, Cuba, Jun 6 (Prensa Latina) Although unintentionally, the truth is that the cabbages grown by Cuban agroecological producer Fernando Doni deserve to appear in the Guinness book of world record for their weight and quality.

The cabbages weight up to 13.6 kilograms each, more than twice the normal weight, admired by the neighbors of the farm Cayo Piedra, in the municipality of Perico, in the center of Matanzas province and around 180 kilometers east from Havana.

Doni obtains outputs of this produce that exceed 90 tons per hectare and he said those productive results, regarding volume and beauty of vegetables and grains, can be reached using the technique of efficient microorganisms.

Well known among the agricultural producers in Matanzas for being a pioneer of the in agroecological practices, Doni eliminated chemical insecticides and pesticides and used a method starting from nature itself and enriching it with biopreparations.
