Washington, May 26 (Prensa Latina) Activists of the Bridges of Love movement on Wednesday called on residents of Tampa, Florida, to participate in the Third Caravan to reject the US blockade against Cuba that will take place in that city on Sunday, May 30.
The event’s aim is to call for an end to the unilateral sanctions imposed by Washington on Cuba for six decades and which above all affect Cuban families.
In particular, participants will demand the reopening of the consular services of the US embassy in Havana and the reestablishment of remittances to Cuba.
According to Cuban-American Carlos Lazo, main promoter of Bridges of Love, the participants in this Third Caravan will also demand from the Biden administration the resumption of the family reunification plan suspended by former President Donald Trump in 2017.
‘See you on Sunday, at 11:00, local time, in this activity whose starting point is at 2109 East 11th Ave Tampa 33605,’ adds the information sent by Lazo to Prensa Latina.
Meanwhile, the Albuquerque, New Mexico Regional Committee of the Venceremos Brigade called for a similar demonstration also on Sunday, May 30, starting at 12:00, local time.
