Buenos Aires, Dec 20 (Prensa Latina) The Authentic Cuba campaign completed here an intense tourism promotion tour across various Argentinian cities such as Mendoza, Cordoba, and Rosario, where the novelties of the island were presented, considered one of the safest destinations of the world.
With this premise, Cuba, visited by hundreds of Argentinian tourists every year, expanded its porfolio in key cities of the country with several travel agencies, tour operators, insurance companies, and hotel chains, among others.
‘Cuba is confirmed as an original destination, rejuvenated and highly present in this country, with the ultimate commitment to work hard together on sales to reach 100,000 Argentinian tourists in 2020,’ pointed out Cuban Tourism Counsellor here, responsible for the Southern Cone, Janet Ayala, at the closure of the campaign yesterday.
Before more than 100 representatives of travel agencies, Cuba ended the promotional tour with an update on the high season which brought several novelties, like the promotion of student tourism with popular trips for graduate students and the recently finished first hotel of Cayo Cruz.
This hotel is located on the beautiful archipelago known as Jardines del Rey (the King’s Gardens), with virgin beaches and native vegetation which delight visitors.
New hotels were also promoted. For example, the newly remodeled International Varadero, at the world famous resort; and the Hotel Paseo del Prado, in the heart of Havana; as well as the attractions of the East of Cuba.
During the event, at the Croque Madame, a mansion with a colonial courtyard resembling those of the historic center of Havana, it was confirmed that Argentinians prefer destinations such as the capital, which this year celebrated its 500th anniversary, the keys and Varadero resort.
The event was also an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding work, based on results, of Director of Havanatur Argentina Adalbert Gonzalez, on the 41st anniversary of the founding of that company, and the 25th anniversay of its presence in this country.
Despite a strong market contraction, until December 10, more than 92,242 Argentinians had visited Cuba.
Argentinian tourists traveling to Cuba are the second most important group in the region, and in spite of the economic crisis in this country, Cuba is confirmed as a preferred destination.
