Austrian Zurl Jacob, who holds a world record for having traveled the Himalaya by bike in less than 39 hours, aims to overcome a new professional challenge, for which he has chosen the Greater Antilles: Cuba.
On December 5, the cyclist arrived in Havana to begin on December 15 his bike ride across Cuba, titled: “Cuba – Coast to Coast”. With it he aims to become the first person to go coast to coast in Cuba by bike without stopping and in less than 55 hours.
Zurl commented on his Facebook profile: Cuba is great and the flair of this county [sic] is unique. Now I can understand the enthusiasm of the people who have already been there.
