Audiovisual highlights Cuba-China support before Covid-19

Beijing, Jun 25 (Prensa Latina) The China Media Group (GMC), a major state organization, is broadcasting today on its platforms an audiovisual that summarizes and highlights as an example the mutual support of the country and Cuba since the emergence of Covid- 19.

The material covers the multiple gestures and solidarity initiatives of high authorities and the people of both socialist states during the last six months.

It includes moments from the visit that President Miguel Díaz-Canel made to the Chinese embassy in Cuba in February; messages from the diplomatic mission of Havana in Beijing and delivery of donations.

It also shows fragments of musical pieces as a theme interpreted by the Vocal Sampling group, children’s drawings and statements in the voices of Cubans from different sectors in support of the Asian giant during the peak of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The GMC merges the China Central Television channel and the Radio China Nacional and Radio China International stations.

His video is inserted in the commemorations for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries, to be held on September 28.

In this context, a few days ago Zhao Bentang, director general of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed that the island was the first territory in Latin America to establish formal ties with China and thus opened a new era of links.
