Buenos Aires, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) A cargo with donations of medicines, clothes and food provided by Cuban residents in Argentina and the solidarity group of this country with the island left Buenos Aires on Monday for Havana.
The 50-package cargo transported by a Cubana airliner, comes from contribution made by the members of the Argentine Solidarity Movement (MasCuba) and the Union of Cuban Residents in Argentina (URCA).
This is a small contribution to help families recover from the damage caused by the tornado that devastated areas of Havana on January 27, Alberto Mas, a member of MasCuba and secretary of the Argentine Club of Journalists Friends of Cuba, told Prensa Latina.
Mas stressed that this is a militant obligation to be along with a nation and a Revolution that not only did and does for America, but also for Argentina.
Oscar Veron, a member of MasCuba, highlighted how Argentines from provinces as distant as Comodoro Rivadavia joined the call, while underlining that Cuba will always be capable of counting on them.
On behalf of URCA, its president Adonis Torres thanked those who supported this campaign, especially Cubana de Aviacion airline and the Cuban Embassy in Argentina.
