Havana, Nov 5 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba (Minrex) announced today that the second meeting of the Bilateral Commission Cuba-US will be celebrated on November 10 in Washington DC.
The delegations of Cuba and the United States will be chaired by the Director General of the Department of the United States at the Minrex, Josefina Vidal, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Edward Alex Lee, respectively.
During the meeting, the delegations will review the agenda agreed at the first meeting of the committee held on September 11, 2015, in Havana, the outcomes from that meeting to this one and the complex issues to be solved between the two countries including the lifting of the economic blockade.
The Bilateral Commission, informed the note issued by Minrex, will define the new steps of both sides in the coming months, as potential agreements of mutually benefits, technical meetings in areas of common interest.
The Commission will also define the exchanges on issues of bilateral and multilateral interest, and high-level visits, among others, as part of the process towards the normalization of relations.
On November 9 will take place, also in the U.S. capital, the first meeting of the bilateral dialogue on the implementation and enforcement of the law among government agencies of both countries, in order to increase the cooperation in these areas.
