Cuban Leinier Savon Pineda takes on the 100m and 200m T12 at the World Para Athletics Championships, which start on 14 July. He’s certainly fast, but what else do you know about the visually impaired sprinter?

2) His cousin is three-times Olympic heavyweight boxing gold medallist Felix Savon.

3) Savon Pineda won the 100m and 200m T12 at the 2015 World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

5) His hero is Cuba’s four-time world long jump champion and Sydney 2000 Olympic gold medallist Ivan Pedroso.
